Educational Leadership and Administration Position

The School of Education, University of Redlands, seeks applications for a 9-month, full-time, Assistant/Associate Professor tenure-track position. In this position the successful candidate will join a committed department of colleagues to facilitate the learning of a highly diverse community of students, serving a particularly robust community of first-generation students. The successful applicant will: (a) be a scholar of educational leadership and administration; (b) teach core or specialization courses in educational leadership and administration for master of arts and doctoral students; and (c) engage in efforts to support the success of our diverse students. Additionally, the successful candidate will be expected to support the social justice ethos of the School of Education faculty.

Required Qualifications:

  • Earned doctorate in Educational Leadership, Educational Administration, or a closely related field
  • Evidence of an active or developing research agenda leading to refereed scholarship, professional presentations, and external funding
  • Ability to teach educational leadership courses inclusive of diversity and social justice perspectives
  • Demonstrated success working with a highly diverse student body
  • Strong interest in and commitment to the use of technology
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and collegiality

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Successful teaching experience at the graduate level
  • Strong interest in the preparation of educational administrators
  • Expertise in education finance or policy
  • Involvement in state, regional, or national education associations
  • Five or more years of school site administrative experience
