Faculty within the Teaching and Learning Department in the School of Education at the University of Redlands is seeking qualified candidates for the 11-month, full-time, tenure-track position of Assistant/Associate Professor of Special Education who shares our commitment to advocacy, social justice, and effective practices in teaching including integration of appropriate technology. The successful candidate will be expected to teach across programs in the Department of Teaching and Learning, including Master of Arts in Learning and Teaching, Education Specialist Preliminary Credential with a Specialization in Mild/Moderate Disabilities as well as the Preliminary Teacher Credential Program, pursue scholarly activities, and participate in department, school, university, and community service.
The ideal candidate will be well-grounded in the knowledge and experience of preparing people to become successful teachers of all students; especially Special Education and culturally and linguistically diverse learners. The University of Redlands is a well-established liberal arts university located halfway between downtown Los Angeles and Palm Springs. It has a century-old reputation of excellence in preparing teachers, counselors, and school administrators throughout Southern California. The special education teacher preparation program at University of Redlands is built upon an interactive and collaborative model with small class sizes and low faculty to student ratios.
