The Office of Professional Development provides professional coaching and instructional programs designed to help School of Education graduate students plan and prepare for employment. Topics include but are not limited to professional assessments, networking, internship and employment planning, resumes, cover letters and portfolios, interviewing and negotiation, transition management and professional advancement.
We are pleased to announce the launch of Handshake, an interactive platform which allows you to access the Office of Professional Development, join events, and book appointments. Handshake also connects college students with internship and job opportunities.

Schedule an appointment with a Career Counselor from Professional Development via Handshake by following three easy steps:
1. Log-in to Handshake (see above for access instructions)
2. Located at the top of the page, click “Career Center” and then click “Appointments”
3. Click “Schedule a New Appointment” to choose your status, appointment topic, and appointment date/time (Visual Instructions)
