DESCRIPTION: The Environmental Studies Department at the University of Redlands invites applications for a one-year, renewable Visiting Assistant Professor position in Sustainable Business. The visitor will teach two courses in the School of Business, three courses in the College of Arts and Sciences, participate in program development and advising Sustainable Business B.S. undergraduates, actively promote and support connections between the Sustainable Business major in the College of Arts and Sciences and the MBA with a concentration in Sustainable Business in the School of Business. 

The University values applicants who have experience working with students from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Applicants are asked to identify their strengths and experiences in assisting diverse student populations to accomplish curricular goals.  

The University is located sixty miles east of downtown Los Angeles, in a town of 70,000. The campus is surrounded by orange groves and sits at the base of the San Bernardino Mountains, one hour from the coast, and 45 minutes from Palm Springs. 

POSITION CRITERIA: Masters degree required. A PhD, JD, ABD, or terminal degree in business or a relevant environmental field preferred. Practical experience in sustainable business or sustainability strategies for college campuses highly desired.

Applicants should have a strong commitment to undergraduate and MBA teaching and mentorship. Areas of expertise may focus on but are not limited to economic, social, and environmental sustainability in business, sustainability marketing, leadership for sustainability, corporate social responsibility, and/or environmental economics. Ideal candidates will understand both environmental issues and business practice.
