Transition in Student Affairs

Dear University Community,

I write today to share the news that Donna Eddleman, Vice President for Student Affairs, will be leaving the University on June 7, 2024.

Donna joined the University of Redlands in 2017, providing leadership and oversight of several departments within Student Affairs, including Residence Life and Housing, Bulldog Athletics, Greek Life, Outdoor Programs, Student Involvement and Success, Counseling Services, Community Service Learning, Community Standards, Esports, and most recently the Office for Inclusion and Community.

Throughout her tenure at Redlands, Donna contributed to many significant and strategic changes at our institution, during which she served as a strong advocate for our students. Her dedication and commitment to enhancing the student experience have also greatly benefited our University, fostering an environment of growth, learning, and inclusivity.

Donna's departure marks the beginning of a new chapter in her career as she will serve as the Assistant Vice President and Dean of Students at Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas. While we are saddened by her leaving, this new opportunity will allow her to be closer to her family.

In the coming weeks, we will appoint an Interim Vice President for Student Affairs as we prepare to launch a search for a permanent placement. In the meantime, I invite you to join me in extending our heartfelt thanks and best wishes to Donna as she embarks on this new chapter.

Sincerely,

Krista L. Newkirk
President
