The Kodály Center at the University of Redlands hosts a summer certificate program at the northern Marin campus location. This program offers three levels of certification in learnings derived from the philosophy and pedagogy of Zoltán Kodály and under the instruction of Hungarian, American and international faculty.
Here is a sample of course offerings and international faculty in this certificate program:
- Summer Choir, Advanced Musicianship and Advanced Conducting taught by Réka Csernyik, Hungarian Master teacher
- Kodály Pedagogy and Folk Song I, Kodály Conducting I taught by Gemma Arguelles
- Kodály Pedagogy and Folk Song II taught by Dr. Miriam Factora
- Kodály Pedagogy and Folk Song III, Kodály Musicianship I taught by Dr. Kathy Hickey
- Kodály Conducting II, Kodály Musicianship II taught by János Horváth
- Kodály Pedagogy and Folk Song I in the Spanish Language Classroom, taught by Lydia Mills combining her bilingual English and Spanish.
