What is a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership (MSOL) degree?

With a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership degree from the School of Business & Society, you’ll learn to navigate these complex relationships, make ethical decisions, and integrate the arc of personal, organizational, and societal influences to lay the foundation for success.
Why earn an MSOL at Redlands?
The MSOL program has been designed around two overlapping themes: the need to develop leaders with critical 21st-century business skills and the integration of purposeful leadership to implement these skills at the individual, group, organizational, and societal levels.
Through this program, you'll prepare personally and professionally for leadership. In Redlands MSOL program:
- You'll gain the insights you need to effectively address issues related to organizational effectiveness and integrate organizational behavior and leadership theory to address issues related to talent management
- You'll integrate ethical concepts, principles, and theories, as well as business analytics, into your approach to management so you can positively impact both your organization and society
- You'll learn to master written, oral, and analytical expression to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
With the MSOL degree, you’ll have the organizational leadership skills that you need to manage teams, provide leadership training and executive coaching to help companies succeed, or serve as a business or organizational leader in your own right.

Consultancy Capstone: Twice each year, during the winter and summer capstone periods, the School of Business & Society offers our graduate students two unique options for completing their capstone requirement: a global consultancy (INTB695) with an international firm and a domestic consulting (BUAD695) engagement with an organization in Southern California. This course may substitute for the MGMT 636 Leadership Communication course.
