As a student in the Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology program, you’ll dive into the complex world of human motion and body mechanics. This academically rigorous program covers the fundamentals of movement, performance, and function that will prepare you for a variety of allied health career options. Electives in this program allow you to focus your studies on prerequisites for entry into graduate programs in allied health fields — physical therapy, occupational therapy, athletic training — or gear your courses toward careers in physical education, coaching, or strength and fitness. The kinesiology program at University of Redlands is designed to establish a strong foundation in physical sciences pertaining to human movement, performance, and function. Through hands-on learning experiences and interdisciplinary studies, you’ll be well-equipped for a variety of allied health professions. Additionally, this program is partnered with Loma Linda University to create a pathway for undergraduate students to flow seamlessly into graduate studies in physical therapy, occupational therapy, and orthotics & prosthetics.
Students in the Kinesiology program will enjoy an academically rigorous program that provides a pathway to health graduate programs and career opportunities in the growing fields of allied health. The Kinesiology major requires a strong foundation in Biology and Chemistry, coupled with Kinesiology courses addressing the fundamentals of human movement.
