The Bachelor of Science in Mathematics program aims to provide you with a deep appreciation for and understanding of mathematical ideas, together with the opportunity to apply mathematical tools to problems from the sciences, social sciences, arts, and humanities. You will study mathematical thinking, problem-solving, and written and oral communication for mathematics. After completing your core courses, you can choose electives from pure mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, or courses that help you prepare for teaching middle school or high school mathematics.
The mathematics program at University of Redlands equips students with critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills that are highly valued across diverse careers such as data science, finance, education, and technology. The program offers personalized learning with small class sizes and dedicated faculty who provide individual mentorship and research opportunities. With a strong emphasis on real-world applications, students can engage in internships, collaborative projects, and math competitions, enhancing their practical experience. The versatile skills gained from a Mathematics degree open doors to various high-demand fields, making it a smart choice for those looking to make an impact.
