We offer a cycle of programs that begins with our I'm Going to College program, moves into the Supporting, Educating and Empowering Diverse Students (SEEDS) program at the high school level, brings admitted students to campus prior to the start of their first year at University through Summer Bridge and then continues to provide peer mentoring throughout their time at the University with the STEP program.
This comprehensive programming is not unexpected; our commitment to first generation students and students from diverse backgrounds is clearly articulated in our mission statement "We welcome intellectually curious students of diverse religious, ethnic, national and socioeconomic backgrounds."
Our cycle of programs also aligns with the University's most recent strategic plan, which emphasizes a focus on diversity (in all its myriad forms). To ensure that we address the changing needs of our student population, all our programming is infinitely flexible, adaptable to the needs of particular populations and communities.
