Subject: Redlands Campus All Clear
This afternoon the Redlands Police Department informed the University that gunshots were heard just north of our campus, near Ted Runner Stadium. Public Safety took immediate action to clear and secure the Athletic Complex and issue a Bulldog Alert, asking the entire campus community to shelter in place. The Redlands Police Department has since given us the All Clear, and campus activities have resumed.
I want to reassure our community that every individual on our campus is safe. I also want to offer my appreciation to the Redlands Police Department for quickly alerting the University and ensuring the safety of our campus community.
I encourage everyone to make sure your contact information is accurate in the UR Bulldog Alert system so that we may continue to communicate as effectively as possible.
Support services are available to anyone who needs them. Students may access counseling services 24 hours a day, seven days a week through Timely Care, and employees may receive support through U of R’s Employee Assistance and Advocacy Program.
