Before/ Upon Arrival

Upon arrival at the University of Redlands, international students must complete a check-in process, which can be done either online or in person. This step is crucial for confirming your presence on campus and activating your student status. During check-in, you'll be asked to provide essential documents such as your passport, visa, and I-20 form. It's an opportunity to verify your enrollment details, update your contact information, and ensure compliance with immigration regulations. International Ambassadors

International Ambassadors are a group of current international students at the University of Redlands who volunteer to assist new arrivals in their transition to university life. Optional Practical Training (OPT) is a program that allows international students in the United States on F-1 visas to gain practical experience in their field of study. Students can engage in OPT during their studies or after graduation, with the opportunity to work in the U.S. for up to 12 months, or longer for those in STEM fields eligible for a 24-month extension. The University of Redlands' Office of Global Education provides support for students navigating the OPT application process, offering resources and advising to ensure compliance with immigration regulations and successful engagement with this valuable professional development opportunity.
